The role of the Dania Beach Housing Authority is to ensure safe, decent, and affordable housing; create opportunities for residents' self-sufficiency and economic independence; and assure fiscal integrity by all program participants. The Dania Beach Housing Authority does this by providing public and voucher choice programs to elderly, disabled, and extremely low income residents. 

Voucher choice allows the client to rent housing anywhere in the tri-county area that will accept federal vouchers for rent. The Dania Beach housing authority administers the program including management of the waiting list, processing applications, performing property inspections to ensure they meet HUD quality standards, and working with residents to find support services. 

The Dania Beach Housing Authority is responsible for approximately five hundred thirty six housing choice vouchers as well a new 172 unit apartment complex, Saratoga Crossings, which is completed and awaiting some unit inspections.  Families and elderly are moving in to these beautiful new units with full appliances, tile floors and more...located at 701, 709, 1101, and 1109 West Dania Beach Boulevard.   The leasing office is open and for information go to ​​https://www.saratogacrossingaptliving.com/  



The Housing Authority Executive Director and staff are overseen by the seven member Board of Commissioners. The Board members are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Dania Beach and approved by the City Commission. The members must be Dania Beach residents and at least one member must be a resident of public housing or Section 8 program participant. No member or officer of the Authority may be an officer or employee of the City of Dania Beach.

 HCV Section 8 vouchers may be used throughout Broward County, except in the City of Hollywood.

PROJECT-BASED VOUCHER (PBV) PROGRAM FOR 2-BEDROOM UNITS ONLY
BROWARD COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY (BCHA) will accept pre-applications for 2-BEDROOM UNITS ONLY in the Hillsboro Crossing Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Program for

seniors age 62+Online pre-applications will be accepted beginning Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 8:00 AM and will close on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 4:00 PM or when 300 pre-applications have been collected.

Ranking method of the list will be based on the date and time of application.
Be prepared to provide identity and income information for yourself and each person that you intend to live with you at the property.
PRE-APPLICATION INFORMATION (Please read carefully):
Pre-applications will ONLY be available for completion online at the following website: (https://bchafl.myhousing.com/). If you do not have access to a computer,

you may go to a public library or any other place where computers are available to access the website to complete the pre-application.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you need help in filling out your pre-application because of a disability that limits your ability to access the computer

application process, please send an e-mail to accommodations@bchafl.org no later than 4:00 PM on December 18, 2024.
Hillsboro Crossing is a Senior Community (age 62+) located at 3851 N Dixie Highway, Deerfield Beach FL 33064 with anticipated occupancy in early 2025.
A maximum of TWO persons are permitted to reside in each unit, however, the head of household plus a spouse/co-head would ONLY be eligible for a one bedroom.
Families selected must meet the following guidelines:
The head of household and all family members must be age 62 or older
The family must qualify for a 2-bedroom unit.
Total annual income may not exceed the maximum ELIGIBLE INCOME LIMIT per Household:
Applicants determined eligible under US Housing and Urban Development program requirements must also meet the property’s requirements for residency.
